Ethihad Airways, now rated as a 5-star airline by Skytrax on 12 October 2016, is the national air service of UAE. It is ranked as the second major air service in Dubai and the third airline in the Middle East headquartered, Abu Dhabi. It has a well-connected network of air services which include Jet Airways, Alitalia, Niki, Air Serbia, Air Berlin, Air Seychelles and Etihad Regional. Booking for these airlines has been consolidated under a single network.
Ethihad began to run its services in
November 2003. Weekly, as of July 2016, it runs above 1,000 flights to more
than 120 passenger and cargo locations in the Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle
East, the Americas and Australia with a fleet of 122 Airbus and Boeing
aircraft. In 2015, Etihad took 14.8 million passengers, a 22.3% hike than the
previous year, making an income of US$9.02 billion and net profits of US$103
million.
Besides the service of transporting passengers, it provides Etihad Holidays and Etihad Cargo. Etihad owns a well-connected network of airlines, Etihad Airways Partners. Almost every partner airline has a considerable share of the airline owned by Etihad. Etihad Airways has minority equity investments in the partner airlines including Virgin Australia which is not listed authentically as the Etihad Airways Partners.

Royal Decree and began its services in November 2003 and now has grown into one
of the fastest developing airlines in commercial aviation history.
